Keith Rocco Surprised By Stafford Speedway Decision To Suspend Him From Competition

Reigning NASCAR Whelen All-American Series national champion Keith Rocco said Tuesday he's still not clear why Stafford Motor Speedway officials made the decision to suspend him from competing in this Friday's SK Modified feature at the track.

Stafford Motor Speedway officials announced Monday that Rocco was being suspended by the track as a result of a last lap accident with Eric Berndt during last Friday's 40-lap SK Modified feature.
Rocco was attempting to go under Berndt for third place when the two made contact, sending both cars into the wall. Rocco was cited by the track for over aggressive driving into Berndt and conduct detrimental to the sport of auto racing.
"I'm surprised when it's something that's not done intentionally, it was a racing deal, I don't see why I should have been completely thrown out," Rocco said.
