THOMPSON - Keith Rocco's efforts to win a second consecutive NASCAR Whelen All-American Series national championship now has a title.
With Rocco's chances at a second consecutive title hanging by a thread, it was the Keep Hope Alive Tour rolling into Thompson International Speedway Sunday.
"That's the best way to describe it I guess," Rocco said. "That's about all you can say."
Facing a must-win situation, Rocco, of Wallingford, rolled to a victory in the 30-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified feature at Thompson International Speedway.
The full-field victory earned Rocco 45 points under the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series points system.
