Rossi running Friday practice for Caterham

American Alexander Rossi will make his Formula 1 Free Practise (FP-1) debut Friday in Spain for the Caterham F1 Team, as ?KOVY?s (Heikki Kovalainen) substitute for the morning session. As this will be the first ?Yank to pilot a Grand Prix racecar in official F1 parlance since Scotty ?Duh goose? Speed?s departure from Scuderia Toro Rosso some 5-years ago...
But don?t expect Rossi, the 20-year old Californian to replace either Kovalainen or Vitaly ?VO5 Petrov anytime soon... As I?m guessing this is just part of the marketing build-up for us here stateside to get Jazzed ?bout Austin, eh?
Although Rossi was ?Juan of my three picks for future Formula 1 drivers, along with thee Young ?Wicky, aka ?KanaDuh?s Robert Wickens, now in DTM and part of the Mercedes young lions; and last but not least on my trio was Mexico?s Esteban Gutierrez - who?s currently Sauber F1?s reserve  driver. (All three being chosen back in May, 2010...)
Good Luck Alexander!
