The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series hits the halfway point of its 36-event 2011 schedule Saturday night when the series visits Kentucky Speedway for the first time ever.
Though reaching that halfway point means that after the race at Kentucky there will only be eight events remaining before NASCAR set's the 12-driver field for its annual 10-race Chase for the Championship to close out the season.
