Matt Hirschman Back On The Outside Looking In With The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour

With just about two months left before the start of the 2012 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season, 2008 series runner-up Matt Hirschman has no expectations to be in the lineup when the division kicks off 2012 at Thompson International Speedway.

Hirschman, of Northampton, Pa., has officially parted ways with the Mike Boehler owned No. 3 team which he ran for full-time last year on the Whelen Modified Tour. Keith Rocco of Wallingford will replace Hirschman in the Boehler owned ride.
Hirschman said his plans for 2012 will likely include a return focus to competing on the Race of Champion's Tour and running select Modified events around the Northeast, which was essentially his racing schedule for the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
