THOMPSON - Usually it's Thompson International Speedway track owner Don Hoenig in victory lane at his facility celebrating the accomplishments of those at his speedway.
Sunday morning he was the one being celebrated.
To kick off day two of the World Series of Speedway Racing weekend at the track, Hoenig was presented Sunday morning with the annual Sonny "The King" Richards award.
The award is given annually to an individual who best represents and is dedicated to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour..
